Sanaugait - A strategy for growth in Nunavut’s arts and crafts sector
To support economic growth and continuing diversification in the arts economy in Nunavut, Sanaugait: A Strategy for Growth in Nunavut’s Arts and Crafts Sector has been developed by the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Economic Development & Transportation, in cooperation with artists, arts associations, other territorial government departments, the federal government, Inuit organizations, co-operatives and other private sector interests. The strategy lays out a framework for the work that is needed in the next five to seven years to ensure the arts in Nunavut grow and continue to play a prominent role in the economic life of the territory.

The Northwest Territories Bureau of Statistics conducted a community labour force survey (CLFS) in all communities in the pre-division Northwest Territories during January-March 1999. The data from the survey for Nunavut communities were analyzed by the Nunavut Bureau of Statistics. Key labour force statistics based on the 1999 CLFS are presented in this report. These statistics are based on responses to questions asked of 6,299 persons living in 2,806 households.

2008 NUNAVUT ECONOMIC OUTLOOK
Subtitled “Our Future to Choose”, the 2008 Nunavut Economic Outlook is the fourth instalment in a series that began in 2001 and has been used as an information source in the development of the Nunavut Economic Development Strategy (Strategy) and in monitoring progress in the implementation of the Strategy. The NEF commissioned the report prepared by Impact Economics, an economics consulting firm whose principal, Graeme Clinton, was chief economist with the Conference Board of Canada and was the primary author of the first Outlook in 2001, the Nunavut Economic Development Strategy in 2003 and the 2005 Outlook.
The Nunavut Economic Forum planned for the production and release of the 2008 Outlook to precede the convening of the Sivummut III Economic Development Conference, to be held in February 2009. The release was delayed slightly as the NEF considered the implications of the economic turmoil of the last few months and the impact on the Outlook.

The 2001 Nunavut Transportation Strategy was the first comprehensive study to focus exclusively on transportation in an area that had previously been

Nunavut Small Craft Harbours Report - November 2005
This report was jointly developed in 2004 by an intergovernmental committee established by the Deputy Minister of Nunavut’s Department of Economic Development and Transportation, and the Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO). The mandate of the DFO-Nunavut Harbours Working Committee was to review and assess Nunavut’s request for financial assistance for harbour infrastructure from DFO’s Small Craft Harbours Branch.
